Aziza Khorsandi – The “Precious Contentment” from Southern Afghanistan

Aziza Khorsandi is an old Afghan heirloom strain from Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan. Its genetics originate from a region where cannabis has been cultivated for many generations and traditional, locally adapted plant lines have been preserved. For our feminized version, we propagated a selected cutting of this Helmand genetic line through selfing . This allowed us to pass on the characteristics of the selected mother plant without crossing it with another strain. Aziza Khorsandi is therefore a stable, feminized old-school Afghani that has retained its original character.

Aziza Khorsandi displays typical Afghan growth characteristics, with a compact, bushy structure, strong side branches and broad leaves. Particularly interesting is its short flowering time of approximately 56 to 63 days. Thanks to its manageable growth habit, the strain is ideally suited to indoor gardens, but also to greenhouses and rain-protected balconies and terraces. Outdoor cultivation is also possible in warmer regions with sufficiently dry conditions in late summer. However, due to its very compact structure, good air circulation is important to prevent mould from becoming a problem.

Classic Afghan hashish genetics: Helmand Province is one of Afghanistan's traditional cannabis-growing regions, where cultivation is closely linked to hashish production.  Aziza Khorsandi is reminiscent of those classic Afghan cannabis lines that have been valued for generations for traditional hashish production.

With Aziza Khorsandi, preserving the original character of the Helmand heirloom was particularly important to us. Our feminized version is based on the self-pollination of a selected cutting rather than a cross with modern hybrid genetics. The strain displays stable, largely uniform development with the typical characteristics of classic Afghan cannabis plants. 

Aziza Khorsandi also remains true to its Afghan origins in terms of aroma. Earthy, spicy and slightly sweet notes define its scent, accompanied by a warm, sometimes herbal background. It is that classic Afghan aroma familiar from old strains, distinctly different from modern fruit and dessert genetics. With Aziza Khorsandi, we are adding a stable, feminized Indica to our range that combines its traditional heritage with a short flowering time, compact growth and an unmistakable old-school aroma.
