Genetics and Strain Profile Pineapple Express is a cross of Hawaiian Landrace Sativa x Trainwreck. With this combination, Barneys Farm blends a tropical Sativa landrace with a well-known hybrid lineage. The result is a feminized, photoperiod cannabis strain with a Sativa-dominant profile.
It is important to distinguish the seed type. This product is Pineapple Express, not Pineapple Express Auto. The Autoflower version is a separate cannabis strain and should not be confused with this variety. If you would like to learn more about this type of strain, you can find additional information in the Cannapot Wiki under Sativa Cannabis: Meaning, Origin & Effects.
Product Overview
Aroma and Character The aroma of Pineapple Express quickly explains how the strain earned its name. Pineapple is clearly the dominant note, accompanied by mango, tropical fruit, hints of citrus, pine, cedarwood, and a light touch of spice. The overall profile is not only sweet and fruity but also deeper and more complex. The Hawaiian Landrace Sativa contributes its tropical character, while Trainwreck adds structure, potency, and spicy undertones.
If you compare cannabis strains by aroma profile and terpene composition, Pineapple Express fits perfectly into the fruity, citrus-forward, slightly woody, and spicy category. You can learn more about this in the Cannapot Wiki under Terpenes and Aroma Profiles.
