Nkuringo Gold comes directly from the misty hills of Nkuringo near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. It is a rare and pure Ugandan landrace sativa that has been preserved through traditional cultivation methods for generations. This strain is grown at high altitudes under the equatorial sun and thrives in natural conditions. It produces tall, vigorous plants with elegant, narrow leaves and long, airy stands.
Uganda has a centuries-old tradition of cannabis cultivation. In regions such as Nkuringo, cannabis – known locally as ‘Njaga’ or ‘Bangi’ – has always been grown for spiritual, medicinal and cultural purposes. It is believed that these ancient strains developed naturally in the African Great Lakes region, shaped by the local climate and selective cultivation by tribal farmers.
