This equatorial Sativa originates from Goroka in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea – one of the most remote and culturally diverse regions in the world. Although cannabis was not originally native to the area, tropical Sativas have spread throughout the country since the 1960s, adapting perfectly to the warm, humid climate and the needs of local growers. The PNG Goroka line is one of the most extreme tropical landrace Sativas in existence. With its sweet yet tart, creamy, lemony and floral terpene profile, it is reminiscent of classic Thai Sativas and modern Hangkrarok genetics.

Characteristic features include its explosive growth, enormous outdoor sizes of up to 5–6 metres, and very long flowering times of 18 to 24 weeks. The plants form airy, foxtail-like structures that are perfectly adapted to humid conditions. Despite its wild origins, the population displays surprisingly stable genetics. This rare line was preserved by Ace Seeds through open pollination of around eighty selected parent plants, in order to maintain as much genetic diversity as possible.
