Fast Bud Outdoor is a mostly Sativa strain for outdoor cultivation, created by crossing Early Pearl, Mexican Sativa and Californian Sativa. The Dutch breeder developed these genetics over several years through targeted crossing and selection. Early Pearl was crossed back with its original Mexican and Californian Sativa ancestors to stabilise the genetic characteristics and, in particular, optimise flowering development. The result is an early-maturing outdoor strain specifically developed for outdoor cultivation in cooler climates that begins flowering relatively early despite its pronounced Sativa heritage.

In terms of growth, Fast Bud Outdoor develops a tall, heavily branched plant structure with the expansive appearance typical of Sativa genetics. Outdoors, when planted directly in the ground, it can reach a height of up to 3.5 metres and a width of approximately 2.5 metres, according to Spliff Seeds. Under Dutch climatic conditions, flowering begins as early as early August. The elongated, relatively loosely structured plants have a comparatively airy growth habit, making them less susceptible to mould formation.
