Manufacturer: Silent Seeds
Moby Dick is one of the best-known cannabis genetics from the original Dinafem heritage and has developed into a true classic over many years. The famous cross of Haze and White Widow combines 60% Sativa with 40% Indica and is characterised by its pronounced Sativa character. Today, this traditional genetic is continued by Silent Seeds, thereby preserving an important part of the former Dinafem history.
When cultivated, Moby Dick develops vigorously and can increase significantly in both height and width. Larger distances between the internodes and a robust plant structure reminiscent of a Christmas tree are characteristic. The strain is suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation and is also considered resistant to Bud Rot and various pests.
The intense aroma of Moby Dick is particularly characteristic. Fresh citrus notes meet spicy nuances, while cedar and the typical incense character of the Haze side add additional depth to the fragrance. This creates a complex aroma profile in which the classic Haze influence is clearly at the forefront.

Silent Seeds is based in Rotterdam in Holland. The people behind it are the same ones who were part of Dinafem for years. They know what they are doing since they have been around since 2005. The team came back in 2021 under the name Silent Seeds. It feels like a continuation, not a restart. They focus on both feminized and autoflowering seeds. Some of the work is done together with Sherbinski, which is why you see a few new strains that feel closer to the American style.

They still keep names like Moby Dick, OG Kush, White Widow, and LA Vanilla Cake alive. At the same time, there are newer mixes. Some growers like the tradition, others chase the fresh genetics. Both are there. The oldschool strains still have a loyal following because people know exactly what to expect from them. Meanwhile, breeders continue experimenting with flavors, effects, and stronger terpene profiles. In many clubs and shops, you can see both worlds side by side. That mix of classic and modern genetics is part of what makes the scene so interesting today.
