Dutch Blue Automatic - Spliff Seeds

Dutch Blue Automatic by Spliff Seeds is a mostly Indica autoflower created by crossing Dutch Automatic, Blueberry and Northern Lights Special. The Dutch breeder combines three different cannabis lines to create an autoflowering strain distinguished by its easy-to-manage characteristics and fruity aroma profile. The Blueberry heritage is particularly noticeable in its appearance: Under cooler conditions, the leaves and buds can develop bluish to purple hues, creating a striking contrast with the plant's classic green colour. At the same time, the Northern Lights genetics contribute typical Indica characteristics to this cross.

In terms of growth, Dutch Blue Automatic is a compact, fast-growing and low-maintenance autoflower that begins flowering independently of the light cycle. According to Spliff Seeds, it has good resistance to cooler temperatures, diseases and pests, making it an interesting option even in less favourable climatic conditions. Thanks to its rapid development, the strain is also suitable for hydroponic growing systems, according to the breeder. Its manageable plant structure and relatively low maintenance requirements make it an interesting choice for growers looking for an uncomplicated autoflowering Indica.

The aroma of Dutch Blue Automatic combines fruity notes with earthy, slightly hash-like Indica accents. While its Blueberry heritage contributes a pleasant fruitiness, the earthy nuances provide a classic, more robust background. This creates a balanced flavour profile in which fruity sweetness and traditional hash-like aromas complement each other.

Spliff Seeds: Amsterdam Breeding Since the Nineties

Spliff Seeds started back in 1995 in Amsterdam. Two growers, Marcel and Erik, set it up and gave it a logo that people still remember because it is probably the funniest one in the seed scene. From the very beginning, their idea was simple: keep prices fair but make sure the genetics stay strong. They choose their parent plants carefully, then test them over and over before anything is released.

Every batch goes through sorting by hand and repeated germination checks. They only put out fresh seeds that can be counted on. Some growers choose them for the simple growing process, others for the THC punch. Either way, the catalog is straightforward and solid. Incidentally, many varieties of spliff are ideal for growing on the balcony.
