AK

AK - Spliff Seeds

AK by Spliff Seeds is a versatile hybrid genetic line whose ancestry traces back to the combination (Colombian Gold × Highland Thai × Mexican × Afghani #1) × NL Special. To develop its own version of AK, Spliff Seeds used a selected AK mother plant and crossed it with its in-house Northern Lights Special. The aim was to combine the characteristics of the original AK with the distinctive traits of Northern Lights Special. The result is a fast-growing, genetically stable hybrid strain characterized by uniform growth and robust plant development.

During cultivation, AK displays a vigorous, uniform plant structure with excellent adaptability to different conditions. According to Spliff Seeds, the strain is suitable for soil, coco substrate and hydroponic systems and performs particularly well using the SOG method. It is considered relatively low-maintenance, tolerates both higher and lower temperatures and does not require particularly intensive nutrient feeding. Sufficient space should be left between individual plants to allow them to develop properly. Spliff Seeds also describes AK as particularly resistant to mould and exceptionally uniform in its growth.

AK plants develop an exceptionally firm, compact structure with a noticeably reddish appearance. Particularly characteristic is their intense aroma profile, dominated by strong, spicy notes with a fine-wood nuance and partly reminiscent of incense. This distinctive aroma is complemented by sweet accents that add another dimension to its overall spicy character.

Spliff Seeds: Amsterdam Breeding Since the Nineties

Spliff Seeds started back in 1995 in Amsterdam. Two growers, Marcel and Erik, set it up and gave it a logo that people still remember because it is probably the funniest one in the seed scene. From the very beginning, their idea was simple: keep prices fair but make sure the genetics stay strong. They choose their parent plants carefully, then test them over and over before anything is released.

Quick Facts
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Focus: Feminized and regular cannabis seeds
Types Available: Feminized, regular, and autoflowering for Northern Europe
Well Known For: Medical Kush, Strawberry, Fast Bud Outdoor, White Widow Auto, Mega Power Plant Auto
Works Well For: Growers looking for strains that are reliable, easy to grow, and carry high THC levels

Every batch goes through sorting by hand and repeated germination checks. They only put out fresh seeds that can be counted on. Some growers choose them for the simple growing process, others for the THC punch. Either way, the catalog is straightforward and solid. Incidentally, many varieties of spliff are ideal for growing on the balcony.
