The Nigerian Landrace is an indigenous, pure Sativa landrace from West Africa and is one of the comparatively fast-growing Sativas of its kind. Over many generations, this strain has evolved under Nigeria’s challenging climatic conditions, developing exceptional adaptability. It is characterised by its shallow, widely branching roots, which efficiently absorb moisture even in nutrient-poor soils and make optimal use of morning dew. Thanks to its origins in regions with high humidity and regular rainfall during the flowering phase, this landrace possesses remarkable resistance to mould, mildew and other moisture-related plant diseases. This natural robustness makes it an excellent choice for outdoor growers as well as for growing regions with changeable or humid climates.

In terms of growth, the Nigerian Landrace displays the typical characteristics of an African Sativa: vigorous vertical growth, long internodes and narrow leaves that allow for optimal air circulation. Despite its pure Sativa genetics, the flowering time is relatively short compared to many other tropical landraces.

The Nigerian Landrace is renowned for its clear, cerebral and energetic Sativa potency, which many growers find boosts creativity, concentration and mood. Its exceptional terpene profile is particularly noteworthy. The aromas are reminiscent of fresh wood, earthy notes and musk, complemented by spicy and slightly resinous undertones.
