G13 is a legendary cannabis strain with a strong Indica character, Afghan roots and an origin that remains surrounded by mystery. Also known as G-Thirteen, the strain has been the subject of numerous stories for decades. According to one of the best-known legends, the genetics originated from a secret US government research program in the 1970s in which particularly potent Afghan cannabis plants were supposedly studied. Dutch breeder Neville Schoenmaker is said to have later obtained a G13 cutting through someone involved in the program. However, there is no conclusive evidence for this story, and it remains part of the legend surrounding G13.

This G13 from ApeOrigin traces its origins to the G13 Project developed by Danish breeder Zenseeds. Many years ago, Zenseeds crossed a G13 cutting with a robust, high-quality but unknown Afghan Indica. The resulting G13 Project became one of the most popular cannabis strains from Zenseeds before the seed bank eventually disappeared.

ApeOrigin was fortunate enough to obtain ten regular seeds from this old line. Through careful selection, a particularly powerful Indica was selected and used to produce feminized G13 seeds. The plants develop an extremely intense earthy and sweet Afghani aroma and are relatively easy to grow. Indoors, good ventilation is recommended because of the dense flowers and to reduce the risk of mold. G13 can also be grown outdoors as long as humidity does not remain too high.
